How are teams formed? [Back to Top]
Teams will be formed honoring player requests for a specific coach or to play with a friend, in as much as possible. However, this only applies up to the maximum team size and on a first come, first serve basis. Further, West United reserves the right to adjust teams for size and/or competitive balance. After player requests are considered, we try to group players together by random order.
Priority will be given to all requests received before July 1st. West United makes every effort to honor your requests within the guidelines and limitations we have. When other options are not available, players will be placed on teams that need players.

Games are played on Saturdays. They are scheduled throughout the day beginning in the morning and ending in the afternoon. Game schedules will be available online about one week prior to the start of each season.
Where and when will my child practice? [Back to Top]
Practice place and time is determined by each coach. Prior to the start of each season, our coaches will contact everyone to inform you of the practice field and time. They will let their team know the day and time of their practice. Most teams practice once per week during the season.
When will I know who my child’s coach is and when practice will start? [Back to Top]
West United holds a coaches meeting approximately 3 weeks before the start of each season. Coaches recieve uniforms and finalize team signups. They are encouraged to start practices and contact their players as soon after this meeting as possible. Registration is for a full year (both fall and spring seasons) and will remain on the same team for both seasons.
Who coaches the teams? [Back to Top]
West United is a volunteer organization. We rely on parent volunteers to coach their children. We can only create teams if we have parents willing to coach those teams. West United makes every effort to help train and educate our volunteer coaches in the best method for coaching youth soccer. If you would like to volunteer as a coach please register by calling our information hotline (801) 493-7988.
Where do I get a uniform for my child? [Back to Top]
Uniforms are included in the price of registration. The uniform consists of 1 jersey, one pair of shorts, and one pair socks. Shin guards are required at all pracitces and games. Cleats are preferred, but are not mandatory. Both are not included in the price. They may be purchased at any sports store. If you purchase cleats, be sure to purchase Soccer cleats and not Baseball or Football cleats because these types are dangerous and include a single cleat on the bottom toe and the player will not be allowed to play.
What is your refund policy? [Back to Top]

- The reason for seeking the refund
A $20 non-refundable administration fee is applied to all refunds.
